in him, there is no darkness.

I was walking away from the calves,

my heart felt heavy.

it felt like I had very many decisions in my future.

it was dark.

it was a dark day, physically and mentally.

the clouds were dark.

the sky was dark.

and the mountains were dark.

i threw my pitchfork hard into that hay bale,

and walked up the road.

the cows watching me leave.

and I pray to God,

I said I give you my future.

i said help me to know the answers.

help me to be keen to your voice.

I kept walking. & it's like he heard me,

right there.

it's like he answered me,

right there.

the black dark blue sky broke open,

and I felt a light on my back.

I turn to see what it was..

the sun had found a window,

to shine onto my back.

a little window of light in the dark sky.

& then to my left, a tree filled with birds,

broke into song.

the horses ran to the top of the hill.

& the sun slipped back into the dark clouds.

I took that as a yes God.

he has bridged every river & stream,

he has made it,

so we are free to run.

run into his arms where we are safe.

where we can hold his hand.

he hopes we can see his gifts,

he wants our hearts to be healed.

our light to always shine.

hurts turn to healing,

& wounds to wisdom.

he wishes for us to be infected with kindness,

happiness.

energy to soak in goodness.

to be inspired through his word.

because we alone are his inheritance.

his cup of blessing.

the land we live on,

is from him.

& he is always there. beside us.

holding us.

we are resting in safety.

i will sing praises forever,

my heart is filled with joy.

i am his.
