the sun is yet pink
glowing soft onto his mountains
singing lyrics I didnt know existed
my muscles are straining
throwing my babies thier hay
the black eyes watching every move
they breath
into the air like steam
the herd of horses lift thier heads
my whistle
echoing off the ranches buildings
this kind of early morning
passion licking my skin
like cold fire
bright navajo blankets
thrown onto velvet backs
heavy gear
buckles tinkling
fringes slapping
spurs singing
the cowboys wild
thier strength controlling
these animals
hannah & I
we run our horses
through the white snow
our cheeks red
our eyes happy
the cows walk single file
they seem to understand our ways
it's me & my yodel
me & my horse
this land of wild west
is hugging fishburn ranch
everyday
that i'm wearing my black felt hat
& on the backs of these dancing horses
roping these wild steers
those days my love
are always
ten out of ten
I have roped this passion.
& I will never pop my dallys.
