she dreams. & as she dreams reality fades and the world becomes a spinning top. dancing across the wood floor. vast mirrors & velvet couches. the lights dim the snowflakes race past the window. her skin turns pink & sailing she is alone. her mind is fast. competing with her feet. her thoughts and heart are running free. she is free.

above the clouds & the fog. above the world & it’s rainbow city’s. over the ocean.

her white dress waving in the breeze. fanning the sky in pale blue. the stars begin to appear. she smiles & touches them soft. the glow so bright. the sky flips to black & shes back on the hardwood. the music starts. the flowers around her head fall to her neck. & then below. her feet slow. and she stands still. the glow of her cheeks reflect off the mirror. the hum of the music swirls around the room. & drops.

soft steps down stairs to the tiny town below. happy heart sings joyful words. & then she sleeps.
