we ain't cool but man we're trying.

seems like we're always wishing we were better then our best.

running. muscles tingling she overtakes the hill & her reward is this.

mountains are protecting the valley. the sun slowly sinking behind them creating a pastel tapestry of pinks & oranges. slowly fading to that soft blue. the wheat waves & the puppy spins.

the fishburn ranch land stretches ahead & off in the distance our beloved fisher ranch. the barns tiny dots through the trees. the herd of horses grazing. dots against the green grass. content. the creek wiggles through the valley. down the hill a deer raises his head. & off he goes.

she sits down. one arm around puppy.

breathing hard & taking the view in.

she twirls her hair. & quickly tells herself NOT to think sentimental thoughts.

defeat.

the tears come & it's ok. when your favourite human gets married & moves 20 hours away.

the sad thoughts tend to overtake your head.

everything changes.

sighing & realizing we truly did grow up to fast.

& this spot on this hill. overlooking the two ranches. has seen it all. watched it all.

you watch the day slowly crawl over the horizon. bringing the night behind it.

the flower u hold up.

jesus gave us these moments. so we can remember his power. in this world full of beautiful things. these tears that are falling because of the passion the memories & all your loves have created. passion always needs a creator. & this has been mine.
